Actor Vinay had a respectable debut in Kollywood with Unnale Unnale. But evidently he could not keep the flame of success burning for long. Soon, just like other innumerable actors that experienced a brief stint at limelight Vinay too became part of the forgotten list of newcomers in the industry within no time.
However, he decided to hold on and not give up by accepting an offer in Telugu. Persistent attempts followed with Jayamkondaan in 2008 and Modhi Vilayadu in 2009. Meanwhile, he also had to face a dry year in 2010 as none of his projects released. The following year he was part of Dam 999 alongside a cast that comprised actors from Hollywood too, again the movie did not turn out to be a great success at the box office.
Anyhow, sensing an international market the handsome hunk raised his fees. But, disappointingly no more offers from Hollywood followed. He soon realized that the decision is only doing him more harm than good. Recently the actor has decided to take a bite off his fees and in response to his tactful decision directors are now ready to give him a second chance in Kollywood.
He will soon be seen in Onbadhula Guru a romantic comedy alongside Lakshmi Rai and most probably KS Ravikumar in a cameo. Subsequently he will be seen in the Jiiva and Trisha starrer Endrendrum Punnagai. Moreover, Iruvar Ullam and Senthatti Kaalai Sevatha Kaalai will also follow.
