If ever there existed an actress who gets film offers not because of her acting prowess but purely because of her popularity by starring in commercials and taking part in the inauguration of jewellery stores, etc., it ought to be our very own Sneha. In her more than a decade long career in Tamil and Telugu films, Sneha has hardly won an award of significance for her acting.
Sneha, who got married to actor Prasanna early this year, has a handful of films some of which were launched prior to her marriage. She has Vidiyal opposite Sarath Kumar, wherein she plays a typical commercial heroine. She also has Haridoss opposite Kishore (of Aadukalam fame) getting ready for its release and whose music launch was held recently in Chennai.
Sneha has also been roped in to play a significant role in actor-director-producer Prakash Raj’s upcoming trilingual film titled as Un Samaiyal Araiyal. Un Samaiyal Araiyal, the second directorial venture of Prakash Raj in Tamil, is the remake of the 2011 Malayalam hit film Salt And Pepper. Actress Tabu also plays a prominent role in the film and would be seen in Tamil films after a long time.
Sneha is said to be very happy to have landed up Prakash Raj’s Un Samaiyal Araiyal.. Speaking about this project, Sneha said, “It’s true that I’ve consented to star in Prakash Raj’s Un Samaiyal Araiyal. I’m sure my role in the film has lot in it to enable me to display my acting prowess to the hilt. As far personal life is concerned, my marriage to Prasanna has been going great guns. I thank the Almighty for keeping me in good spirits!”
