Actress Kajal Aggarwal is today among the top actresses in both the Tamil and Telugu film industries .
A small recap would show she was the same actress who walked with ‘unlucky’ actress tag despite her hourglass figure, pretty face and some acting credentials, infact for reasons known to none.
After debuting in Kollywood as Bharathiraaja’s heroine in Bommalattam (it was Rukmani who took the honours in that film), she starred in a few insignificant projects in Pazhani opposite Bharath and Modhi Vilaiyadu opposite Vinay Rai. Both the films bombed parallely in tollywood too all her films failed to boost her career
2009 was the year when the Goddess Luck turned open doors for kajal in the form Magadheera opposite Ram Charan Teja
Magadheera not only broke many box-office records in Telugu but it also did very well in its dubbed version in other languages.
Kajal then made another attempt at stardom in Tamil by pairing up opposite Karthi in the hit film Naan Mahaan Alla. However, her dreams of making it big in Kollywood suffered yet another slight setback with the not-so-great showing of Suriya’s Maatraan released last month.
Now Reports that her latest film Thuppakki opposite Vijay is heading to become one of the biggest hit of the year has warmed Kajal’s heart to no end. She is extremely happy to have shed the ‘unlucky’ actress tag finally. The film, produced by Kalaipuli Thanu and directed by A.R. Murugadoss, opened worldwide on Deepavali last Tuseday and has met with a tremendous response worlwide, setting collection box record.
Kajal is now hopeful of making further inroads and making it to the top in Kollywood!
