The empresses Ambika and Radha sisters reigned the Tamil film industry in the 1980s.None can ever forget them. Among these two sisters, Radha is very special. Now her daughter Karthika has debuted in cinema.
After the great success of Ko, she is acting in the film Annakodiyum Kodiveeranum directed by Bharathiraja. In a small chat with her:
I was born and brought up in Mumbai. Deepavali will be celebrated in a grand manner there. There will be a stiff competition in bursting crackers in our area. My father will purchase crackers worth Rs 1 Lakhs. My mother will be direct opposite to this. We will start bursting crackers from 3 am on Deepavali eve and burst till next day. It will be very jolly full.
Mumbai’s culture is very modern. Dad is very strict. He will not send me out. I am one of the girl born in Mumbai who does not go for parties.
If I am very tensed I will listen to the song Venpaniye from the film Ko many times. I will become very cheerful. I also like the song Poova Eduthu Oru Maala Thoduththu from my mother’s film.
I will not keep anything in my mind if anyone says anything about me. I will reply them back face to face. I will not get angry so quickly. I also don’t have ego. If you have ego even small problems will become big.
I have lots of girl friends. Lakshmi Manchu and Bindhu Madhavi are my close friends. Hansika is my school friend. If we meet we will be talking hours together.
I don’t know whether my parents will okay the person whom I love. It is not enough if I like a person. My mother, father and other family members should also like that person. Now my priority is acting in films.
