Film-maker K.S. Ravikumar is presently in Mumbai where he is presently making the Hindi version of Samy which has Sanjay Dutt playing the lead role.
Speaking from Mumbai, K.S. Ravikumar denies he was ‘out’ of superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Kochadaiyaan, and still is very much part of the film.
“I just don’t know where from this started. As far as my knowledge is concerned, I’m still supervising the direction of Soundarya. For the past few weeks, I’ve been camping in Mumbai where the shoot of my film with Sanjay is progressing. I read the reports of my ‘ouster’ from Kochadaiayaan only yesterday and thought I should spell out the truth to the public as well as to the fans of the superstar.
“Ever since the film was launched, I have been accompanying Soundarya and the crew to places such as London and Kerala but couldn’t stay back to supervise editing and the other post-production work due to my commitments in Hindi. I had already told her about my commitments and this might have prompted her to seek help from Madesh, who is experienced enough in this regard.
“It doesn’t mean that I’m out of the film; I’m very much part of it and I won’t mind if Madesh’s name appears in the title cards as the one assisting Soundarya,” clarifies KSR. However, he didn’t commit himself to fixing any particular day for the release of the film though it’s believed now that the film might release on Pongal Day next year (14th January).
Will someone bother to explain what the delay is all about?
