Trade circles point out that the remuneration per film in respect of actress Anushka and actress Nayanthara have crossed the Rs.1 crore barrier, considered as the ‘maximum limit’ in fee for a heroine. Both of them demand and get anywhere between Rs.1.00 to Rs.1.50 crores per film, it is reported. Amala Paul, Hansika and Kajal Aggarwal come next to the duo of Anushka and Nayanthara.
Trisha, who was the toast of Kollywood not so long ago, is considered as one who’s all set to enter the ‘retirement’ stage. Notwithstanding the fact that she has three films on stage at present in Kollywood, she isn’t someone whom the leading heroes are very eager to sign up. Lakshmi Menon of Sundarapandian fame and Karthika of Ko are considered among the ‘hottest’ young new young talents along with Ineya of Vaagai Sooda Vaa fame.
Tamannaah and Ileana, the two heroines who sport hour-glass figures which make other heroines to red with jealous, appear too busy to turn towards Kollywood as they are held up in Tollywood and Bollywood with their Telugu and Hindi film projects. Ileana’s dream debut in Bollywood with the successful and critically acclaimed Barfee is likely to keep her in Mumbai at least for the next few years.
Plain-faced Lakshmi, who got paid a mere Rs.3 lakhs in her first couple of films, is said to be demanding a whopping Rs.40 lakshs. One-film old Karthika and her younger sibling, the debutant Thulasi, are reportedly demanding exorbitant sums as their fees which keep directors and producers away from them. Neetu Chandra and Sameera Reddy appear to have fallen out of favour with film-makers.
Reports say that Trisha and Hansika are getting Rs.75 lakhs per film, Shruti Haasan gets Rs.70 lakhs (she’s also starring in Bollywood films) and Amala Paul and Anjali are also getting Rs.70 lakhs per film.
