One of Kamal Haasan’s many facets is to spot, identify and nurture talents in all spheres of film-making. Kamal is credited with making Nasser a great actor by making use of the latter’s acting capabilities continuously after the hugely successful Thevar Magan. Likewise, he has the knack of locating talented musicians too.
For scoring music in his upcoming film Viswaroopam, he has opted for the trio, Shankar Mahadevan,Ehsaan and Loy who have cut several albums in Hindi. The trio had earlier worked with Kamal in his home production Aalavandhan more than a decade back. There is a buzz in music circles on the eve of the film’s audio launch scheduled to be held on 7th November.
Mahadevan has now opened up about what to expect in the film. “We’re happy to be back in Kollywood after a long time by scoring the music of Kamal Sir’s Viswaroopam. We have always wanted to work in Tamil films but neither were we getting the desired offers nor we had the time to do so as we were too busy with our commitment in Hindi films.”
“The songs in Viswaroopam have come out very well. It has six songs including a ‘theme music’ track. I have sung a song along with Kamal Sir. As Kamal is well-versed in music, it was a wonderful experience to have worked with him in the film. We are all eagerly awaiting to meet and interact with the fans on 7th November when the film’s audio releases,” informs Shankar.
Meanwhile, Kamal is said to be pondering over the date of release. It would be on the eve of Christmas or Pongal, the sources inform.
