AR Rahman might soon debut on screen. The Kollywood composer has signed both international and Kollywood projects including Mani Ratnam’s Kadal,Shankar’s I, Rajini’s Kochadaiyaan and a lot more. Recently there was news that he completed 4 tracks for Mani’s Kadal.
Now we came to know that Mollywood actor Biju Menon is coming up with a new project that has Biju character playing a percussionist in AR Rahman’s troupe. The entire script takes place in 2 days and has Lal, Suresh Krishna, P Sukumar and Sunil Babu in key roles. It’s a story about a group of friends. The film is directed by Shajoon Kariyal and scripted by Sachi who disclosed, “Well we are trying to rope Rahman in for a cameo in the movie. Things are in a nascent stage to make a confirmation.” Interestingly music for this Mollywood release is by Deepak Dev who has worked with Rahman in Rhythm and Thenali. The makers are even ready to film some of the scenes in Rahman’s own studio in Chennai. If the Oscar winner gives a nod, he will be marking his onscreen debut in a Mollywood flick.
