Naga Chaitanya played the lead in Gautham Menon’s Ye Maaya Chesave and made a cameo in appearance for the subsequent Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa release in Tamil. The actor was planning to make a full-fledged entry into Tamil with a new Gauravam project, which now looks unlikely.
Fresh reports reveal that he has walked out of the Gauravam project directed by Radha Mohan. The director, a State award winner for his in Abhiyum Naanum, had Naga as first pick for Gauravam. Produced by Prakash Raj’s Duet movies the film is a bilingual releasing in Tamil and Telugu and currently in pre-production stage. Playing the female lead for the film is Sarath Kumar’s daughter Varalaxmi, who has her Poda Podi coming up opposite Simbu. As per plans, the puja ceremony for Gauravam was scheduled on May 16th ,2012 with both Naga and Varalaxmi attending the same with the rest of the cast and crew. Now that the hero has walked out, it is learnt that one of Allu Arjun’s brothers has sealed a comfortable spot with the talented director. Will the last minute raffle hold him in good stead?
