Director Gautham Menon’s Neethane En Ponvasantham has some love-ly music in store for fans. The film has the director joining hands for the first time with composer Ilayaraja. Announcing the news the director had remarked, “I’m going to live a dream. Make a dream come alive. Ilayaraja sir.”
Now Gautham did announce some more tid-bits about the music for NEP. He said, “Watched spell bound, listened and was lost in happiness as Raja sir recorded a song yesterday in his own voice. The music for nee thane and yetto velli(Telugu NEP) will feature the voices of Raja sir, Yuvan and Karthik”. However many did carry false reports that it was the composer’s son Karthik who has sung the song along with his bro Yuvan. When inquired, things were clarified by the director himself saying, “Karthik has sung. Not karthik raja.” There is also news that daddy Ilayaraja will be visiting Hungary and England to work with their respective symphony orchestras. Director Gautham Menon who had his Bollywood release in Ek Deewana Tha this Valentine’s is coming up with yet another chocolaty romance in Neethane En Ponvasantham. The film a trilingual in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi will have actress Samantha doing the lead roles for all three versions and Jeeva playing the hero for the Kollywood one.
