Director Shankar was until recently an active producer too. However, he applied a brake on the ambitious plans of S Pictures, after some of his production ventures failed to taste success in the box-office. But things are no more the same.
“I will of course produce movies. I am waiting for right story and the right team. Since I burnt my hands after my production ventures did not perform well, my strategy will be different this time. I have to be more careful,” he says.
Dismissing reports which claimed that his next film would be with Tollywood Megastar Chiranjeevi, Shankar says, “A lot of other theories are also doing rounds. But I would like to clarify that I have not signed any new film after Nanban.”
Shankar, who is currently holidaying with his family, says, “I will start my next venture only by March. And it will sure be an original script, and not a remake like Nanban.”
