Director Simbu Devan has denied reports appeared in a section of the media that Vadivelu, who is lying low from April last year thanks to reasons known to all, would make a re-entry with his forthcoming film ‘Maareesan’, which has Dhanush in the lead.
“It’s a wrong information that Vadivelu is going to act in my movie. He is a great actor and how could I give a re-entry to him,” asks Simbu Devan, who gave the mega hit ‘Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi’ in association with Vadivelu.
Stating that preliminary works related to ‘Maareesan’ are currently on, Simbu Devan adds: “A formal announcement related to the project, which will have all minute details about the cast and crew, will be made soon to clear the air.”
Simbu Devan, who started his career as a cartoonist in a popular Tamil weekly, later joined director Shankar as his associate. After ‘Imsai Arasan….’, he made two films- ‘Arai Enn 305il Kadavul’ and ‘Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam’. All his three movies had social themes.
