The history of ‘cold war’ between lead actors in Tamil films is as old as the film industry itself. It existed during the period of the legendary MGR and Sivaji Ganeshan and continued till the Rajinikanth-Kamal Haasan era which was later extended by the media to the Vijay-Ajith tenure.
Even Simbu and Dhanush were also reportedly at loggerheads with each other in the early part of their careers.
It now appears that actors Simbu and Jiiva have finally decided to let good sense prevail among themselves and in their open diatribe against each other in public. Ever since Simbu walked out of film-maker K.V. Anand’s Ko and Jiiva stepped into Simbu’s shoes as the film’s hero, bad blood brewed between the two with Simbu accusing Jiiva of ‘hijacking’ the film after the film turned out to be a super-duper hit last year.
Reports say that both the actors have posted comments completing each other for their performances in their recent films. Actor Jai, who happen to be a close friend of Simbu and plays a significant role in the latter’s upcoming film Vettai Mannan, made known his affiliation by openly commenting about Jiiva. Before matters came to a pause, the good news comes that truce has finally been made.
In his social networking site Twitter, Simbu has said that “Happy Birthday brother Nanban trailer is rocking and u look gr8 … all the very best for the film!!!”” In his reply, Jiiva has thanked Simbu for the compliments received.
We’re thankful that the issue has had a happy ending!
