Actress Tapasee Pannu has a novel way to reduce weight and shake off the flab around her waist. Instead of indulging herself in rigorous work-outs and in performing yoga besides following a strict diet, Tapasee simple travels a lot to keep herself in shape. It might seem strange but the curly-haired actress insists that it’s the case with her.
Tapasee debuted as Dhanush’s heroine in the award-winning film ‘Aadukalam’ made by director Vetrimaran. Set in the rural backdrop of Madurai’s interiors, the film had the fair-complexioned Tapasee playing an Anglo-Indian girl. The film gave Dhanush his first-ever national award for ‘best actor’. Tapasee was very happy to be part of an award-winning venture in her very first film.
Her second film would be ‘Vandhaan Vendraan’ (VV) opposite Jeeva. The film is being directed by R. Kannan of ‘Jeyamkondan’ and ‘Kandein Kaadhalai’ fame. Known for his films with a decent script, Kannan is hopeful of proving third-time lucky with the film. The 24-year old Tapasee says that she had to travel a lot across the length and breadth of the country in order to reach the locations where the film was shot.
“Travelling makes me slim and shed off those extra pounds. Really….I have been traveling almost non-stop to places like Kerala, Maharashtra, Goa and to Puducherry for the shooting schedules which help me maintain my shape. I’m sure audience would get to see a ‘slim and svelte’ Tapasee in the film,” she assures and adds that it was quite an enjoyable experience for her to be working with the crew of VV.
The film has music by Thaman while lyrics are penned by Na. Muthukumar, Kabilan, Yugabarathy and Gorky (son of lyricist Vairamuthu). Produced by K.S. Srinivasan, the film is likely to hit the theatres soon.
