Nayantara, who rose to fame in Tamil Cinema with Chandramukhi and took Kannada Cinema by storm with Super, seems to be planning to quit films.
Rumours of her retirement from films started when she declined several Kannada film offers from leading directors. She supported these reports by hinting about her retirement in her statements to the media.
She recently completed shooting for the Telugu film Sri Rama Rajyam with Balakrishna.
On the last day of her shooting for the movie, the actress said: “I consider Sri Rama Rajyam as a blessing; it will always remain as a film close to my heart. The last day of shoot was indeed very emotional for me, as my director Bapu sir is a living legend and I consider working under him as a great experience.” She added that all the unit members were like one big family and there were a lot of positive vibes while filming.
Quizzed about her future plans, she gave a mysterious smile and remained silent.
