Thanking his father Kasthuriraja and brother Selvaraghavan who brought him to the cinema field, Dhanush on Thursday dedicated the National Award he won to father-in-law Superstar Rajinikanth.
“I dedicate this National Award (for his best performance in ‘Aadukalam’) to Rajini sir. I sincerely pray that the Superstar gets well soon and returns home,” said the affectionate ‘Mappillai’, who was with Rajini at Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre on Thursday.
Urging fans not to believe rumours spread on the Superstar’s health condition, he said, “When a person is so popular, there are bound to be rumours. I request the fans not to believe them. He is doing fine.”
Dhanush has also thanked judges of the National Award Committee for choosing him. His gratitude was due for wife Aishwarya too, for motivating him from day one of ‘Aadukalam’ shoot that he would sure win a National Award.
