Even the arrival of young comedians like Santhanam, Karunas, Ganja Karuppu has not diminished the popularity of Vadivelu to any extent. The veteran is as busy as ever. At the same time Vadivelu is also not ready to kill his hero dreams.
Although his second film as a hero ‘Indiralogathil Na Azhagappan’ was a miserable flop, Vadivelu had no second thoughts to start his third film as a hero calling it ‘Ulagam’. When the film was officially announced a few months ago the industry went berserk. The film’s producer, director Adam Bawa said ‘Ulagam’ will be a multilingual film and its production budget will match any super star film.
He also said Vadivelu will have 25 different get ups and his acts will be a milestone in Tamil cinema. All these build ups have now hit a road block. According to sources Vadivelu who gets involved in all the aspects of the film wants his name in the credit as a screen play writer also. Moreover he has miffed the director by unilaterally changing the looks of 10 get ups the director had visualized.
So everything has been put on hold for the moment. Whether this break is only a temporary road block of a permanent dead end we don’t know.
