Dhayanidhi Alagiri’s proximity to Madurai needs no introduction. The young producer’s first venture on the temple city, ‘Thoonga Nagaram’, is ready to see the light of the day on February 4.
Directed by debutant Gaurav, the film has Vimal, Anjali and Bharani among others playing pivotal roles. “Coming from Madurai, I feel proud to produce Thoonga Nagaram,” Dhayanidhi says.
Heaping laurels on Gaurav, the owner of Cloud Nine Movies says, “I was thoroughly impressed when he narrated the script. And he has effectively bought on screen all the things he had narrated.”
The film has music by Sundar C Babu of ‘Chithiram Pesuthadi’ and ‘Naadodigal’ fame. “It is on the lives of a set of youngsters in Madurai, which is told in a realistic and lively manner,” sources say.
