Arjun, who is originally from Karnataka, is now making a movie in his mother tongue after a long gap. Popularly known as ‘Action King’ in South Indian cinema, he started with Kannada films, then slowly moved on to Telugu and Tamil. And today, he is one of the bankable stars.
The actor is now ready to start work in a Kannada film titled Sungkolli Raayana opposite Kannada actress Jayapradha. Shooting for this film will start sometime in August.
Arjun’s first film, Male Bantu Male (Kannada) made in 1984, was directed by Rajender Singh Babu. His wife Asha Rani is also an actress who has acted in a Kannada movie called Rathasapthami with Shivraj Kumar.
With Sungkolli Raayana, Arjun marks his re-entry into Kannada films, and also plans to act in Bollywood films.
