Ramana Communications, the makers of Kamaraj are again engaged in the making of another saga. Titled Mudhalvar Mahathma, the film is based on Gandhiji, the father of our nation.
The film is not a life history of the great man but is based on the premise that if Gandhi is reborn today and propagates the same ideals, how he would deal with today’s politicians and their hideous split personalities. How would he efface the corruption, thievery and violence that has seeped into today’s society? The film actually projects the positive side of his rebirth and all the effects he brings upon the country’s citizens through his principles of Sathyagraha and Ahimsa.
S. Kanakaraj, who resembles the great leader, closely plays the lead role in Mudhalvar Mahathma. The film will be shot in Gujarat, Sabarmathi Ashram and along the India-Pakistan border. It will be released on August 15th. Mudhalvar Mahathma is being simultaneously made in English and Tamil. Camera is by J. Mohan and the script work and direction are by A. Balakrishnan.
