Nakshathra (daughter of yesteryear heroine Sumithra) debuted in Kannada with Sarigama. Now, she seems to have finally found a suitable script for her first Kollywood film. Rumours abound in Kollywood that Nakshathra will soon pair up with prolific actor Karan in Thambi Vettosi Sundaram, an action movie to be directed by V.C. Vadivudaiyan (of Sameeda fame).
Actually, Thambi Vettosi Sundaram was supposed to be a Srikanth movie. But Srikanth – who already has dedicated his dates for Manavar Dinam, Maa and Drohi – has decided to opt out of the project. Now the role is going to Karan, who will be soon complete Malayan and Kandan; the actor is also acting in Kanagavel Kakka at present.
Insiders say Thambi Vettosi Sundaram will be a complete action film set against a rural backdrop, something along the lines of Sandakozhi.
PS: In Nagercoil dialect, the word “vettosi” means scythe!
