The Ashram School run by Latha Rajinikanth wore a festive look on its annual day. In fact, with so many film artists participating, the atmosphere was nothing short of the jaunty and grand film launches of Kollywood.
Various eminent personalities from different walks of life – yesteryear film artists Saroja Devi, P.P. Srinivas, S.N. Lakshmi; film producers Muktha Srinivasan and S.P. Muthuraman; Arasu Hospital’s medical specialist Krishnaswamy; and athlete Vijaylakshmi – all of them graced the occasion to inspire the students.
After giving away gifts to meritorious students, Rajinikanth thanked all the guests for accepting his invitation and gave the assembly a brief talk about the school’s achievements. Acknowledging that producer S.P. Muthuraman played an important role in his career, Rajni thanked the producer for his help and support. While speaking about Saroja Devi, the thespian said that he had a desire that will go unfulfilled – pairing up with Saroja Devi in a film! This great fan of Saroja Devi always wished he was a hero of Saroja Devi’s era. He added that he would have been happy if he had done even one film with her.
Soundarya Rajinikanth, Nakul and Simbu, proud alumni of Ashram School, also graced the occasion.
