The crew of Bommalattam met media persons on December 2nd to brief them about their film and convey what it has to offer. R.K. Selvamani was the chief guest at this meet.
According to the film’s director Bharathi Raja, Bommalattam, based on a true incident, will join the list of “best of the best films of Kollywood”. He spoke highly of Arjun and Nana Patekar (famous Bollywood actor) and commented that they have given their best in this film, which increases its value manifold. “You will see a totally new Arjun in this film. I think he has given his best so far. Out of all his performances so far, I like this one the best,” added the eminent director. The ace director assured that the climax of this film is something that the audience has never seen before.
Renowned director R.K. Selvamani said that he felt compelled to meet the media and express his awe for this film and its director Bharathi Raja after seeing the special screening of this film which he termed as a miracle, an example of lateral thinking and extolled the climax scene.
When Arjun spoke, he said that he considers a chance to act in Bommalattam, directed by one of the best directors in the industry, truly a blessing for him. He thanked Bharathi Raja for giving him an opportunity to act in this film; he said he is very proud to have got a call from the director who rejected him 20 years ago! He said that acting with Nana Patekar had been a learning experience and a proud moment.
Three songs from the film were screened at this meet and all of them sounded so fresh. Himesh Reshammiyya, who is the film’s music director, has made sure that all songs sound different from what Kollywood audience are used to.
The crew evinced confidence that the film will do exceptionally well and the delay in its release (due to many reasons) will never affect it in any way.
Arjun plays a CBI officer and Kajal Agarwal (of Saroja fame) is the heroine.
