With five heroines in his next project too, many have starting asking director Selva whether he is superstitious and thinks five heroines will prove lucky in his films.
But Selva, who directed five heroines and Jeevan in his remake of yesteryear classic Naan Avan Illai (Gemini Ganesan), denies any such sentiments. Selva said that he has more than a heroine in his film since the script demands it. He also added that he does not voluntarily take up scripts that require multiple heroines; it just happens.
His next project, which has five heroines, is also a remake of yesteryear hit Nootrukku Nooru, which was directed by K. Balachander. Jayashankar, the hero in the original, played a teacher; Vinay (of Unnale Unnale and Jayam Kondaan fame), the hero in the remake, plays a college student! Of the five heroines for the film, three have been selected so far – Sneha, Sandya and Kasthuri. “Soon, we will decide on the other heroines as well,” said the director.
